While attending high school at De La Salle Institute, Omar excelled at his studies; he was on the Honor Roll, a member of the Lasallian Youth, the Chess Club, and the Junior Statesmen of America.  He was also very active in sports being a member on both the football and wrestling teams.  During his high school years, Omar was honored in the "Who's Who of High School Students".

De La Salle is also home to Omar's older brother, Oscar and Omar's uncle, Frank Ward.  We appreciate all the De La Salle has done for our family most importantly, becoming our "home" for future Annual PFC Omar E. Torres Memorial Picnics.
